Students will be introduced to urban development in network society, then urban competitiveness and leadership, various concepts and approaches on strategic planning and strategic management, as well as new emerging ways to influence urban development.
Students will be enabled for managing, predicting and guiding urban transformation and development at diverse areas and levels.
History and typology of urban settlements Strategic urban planning Sensitive understanding of urban forces, democratic urban planning and design Urban planning and design – the best case of social art, managing programmes and activities in urban areas Concepts for managing and development of urban culture Pluralistic and inclusive urban planning, influence of the marketing and technologies on urban development
