The goal of the subject is introducing with basics of industrial ecology as new discipline for establishing sustainable antropogenic systems, and importance of its application on the level of region, countries in the framework of sustainable environment and appropriate regulatory mechanismes. Identification of entire material cycles, over raw to final materials, different components, products and wastes to final disposal, as a part of the environment and economic activities.

Result of the education will be the abbility of students that based on the knowlegde about industrial ecology define the basic for identification of material flows and energy through entire economies on the regional and country level, so as the interaction economic activities and the environment following transformation and further usage of recycled materials and generated by-products.

Teoretical knowledge: Defining importance of industrial ecology as new engineering discipline for future sustainable development of regions and countries, definition of basic principles of industrial ecology, posibbility of results application for improving indutrial and economic systems takon into consideration the metabolic aspects of the observed areas. Practical knowledge: Detailed elaboration teoretical knowledge through examples from practical work.

Lectures, auditorial and exercises, consultations. Teoretical knowledge is presented during lectures, which is followed with specific examples for better understanding presented material. Exercies whch are based on the presented lectures examples from the practice are further analyzed, and then used for definition of problems in the framework of pre-exam obligations. Pre-exam obligations include finalization and presentation of the project. Final part of the exam consist from written and oral exam.
