Enabling students to master the declarative techniques of programming components of animation, both entertaining and engineering type.
Student will learn the basics of scripting within standard game engines(Unreal engine, Unity). By the end of the course, you will have a knowledge how modern game engines function, and how to develop basic gameplay.
Program abstractions of animation: objects, attributes and methods. Program techniques of specifying time, events and algorithms. Declarative methods of specifying objects and character of animation. Node-based visual programming concept. The techniques of visual programming: objects, character and camera; specification of active and passive type of character/object behavior, HCI and HUD.
