The objective of the course is that graduate engineers of industrial engineering and management acquire knowledge in the field of media production management, with an emphasis on planning, managing and controlling media projects, as well as competencies for participation in the work processes in the field which are applied in organizations and industrial systems.
Graduate engineers of industrial engineering and management will be trained in organizing and managing media projects. The acquired knowledge will be used in the process of producing media contents, in the context of various ways of communication in a modern enterprise.
Defining key concepts: management of media production, productions, media project. Fundamentals of production in the media and phases of production: pre-production, production, post-production. Production team - vocations (role, abilities, scopes of operation). Media projects: idea, synopsis, scenario, production plan. Ways and sources of funding media projects. Monitoring and controlling production processes. Evaluation of production processes. Distribution and promotion of media contents. Legal aspects of production and the field of copyright. Entities of the audio-visual industry (government bodies, professional associations, education).
Teaching activity unfolds in the form of lectures and auditory exercises. It is complemented with numerous examples from the practice - case studies. Testing the knowledge takes place through individual work, group project assignments and final exam.
