Subject: Selected Chapters in Theory of Engineering Experimentation in Graphic Techniques (17.DZ01TF)

General information:

Category Scientific-professional
Scientific or art field Grafičko inženjerstvo
ECTS 5

Acquiring knowledge in the domain of modern approaches in the field of engineering experiment in graphic techniques. The basic goal of the course is the development of scientific abilities, academic and research skills in the field of the theory of engineering experiment in graphic techniques as specific engineering doctrines. In addition, the goal is to develop skills in the field of information technologies - IT in graphic techniques and processes that can be defined through the theory of an engineering experiment.

Acquired required knowledge in the field of the theory of engineering experiment in graphic techniques. Ability to engage in scientific research in the field of engineering experiment for graphic techniques, the ability to interpret and solve problems from the subject area independently and basic theoretical and research knowledge. The part of the course is conducted through independent research work in the area related to the subject. Independent research work includes a detailed overview of current scientific literature related to the field, writing a seminary paper and writing paper in the field of the subject.

Current research in the specific field and selection of research topic in the field of graphic techniques and processes. Setting the experiment as a form of scientific research in the theory of the engineering experiment in graphic techniques. Analysis of measuring devices and measurement error of importance for the performance of the experiment. Selection, processing and presentation of measurement results. Methods of analysis and discussion of measurement data and results. Researching the application of contemporary software tools and techniques for presenting and publishing results to the scientific public. Analysis of the possibilities of application in real terms. Methods for determining the significance of the results.

Teaching is performed in the form of lectures and through research. The lectures present the theoretical part of the material through the characteristic examples, using modern information and communication technologies. In addition to lectures, consultations are held regularly. The research involves the active study of primary scientific sources (journals, monographs and scientific books), performing numerical simulations and experiments, as well as writing scientific paper related to the themes within the course.
