Aim of the course is acquirement of concrete and practical knowledge and skills in the field of scenic techniques,especially in the theater, the ability to participate in teamwork on a technical management, as well as to lead the technical sector.

Ability for independent consideration of history, theory and practical use of scenic techniques. It is understood that is necessary to build ability of participation in teamwork, as well as ability for creating and leading the team. Student is expected to have built personal views, ability to present them, argument and problematize verbally.

The course is directed toward studying the development of scenic technical devices, primarily in the twentieth century, with a focus on consideration of the correlation between function, form and character scenic and architectural space in the theater and scenic technique and technology, as well as establishing the ability of personal use those tools in creative work. Special field of study are criteria and principles in creating team, task assignment, establishment and quality control, as well as safety and security issues in the process of scenic technical work.

Lectures in given topics. Discussions in the lectures and workshops; Preparations of shorter exposures by students in the workshops; Production of a term project (setting a theme, collecting literature, analysis of the literature, conception of a structure, realization of the work, oral exposure of the work).
