Course specification

Course is active from 31.07.2007..

Enabling students to analyze stresses and deformations occurring in circular and rectangular plates and cylindrical shells. Students should get basic theoretical knowledge and be able to apply it to practical problems.
Acquired knowledge enables students to recognize and analyze tension states and deformations in plates and shells. The student is able to independently solve problems in the engineering practice.
Governing equations for circular and rectangular plates. Boundary conditions. bending of circular and rectangular plates. Equivalent maximal stresses. Influence of elastic foundation. Bending of cylindrical and spherical shells.
Lectures. Auditory Practice. Consultations.
