Enabling students to obtain professional knowledge and application in practice.
Acquired knowledge on bridge management and bridge maintenance (monitoring, planning, programme elaboration, project definitions, project management).
Introduction, topic and objectives of the bridge management system, basic hypotheses. System structure, functions, analysis levels. Analysis on the bridge management process and data used. Information systems as a basis for a management system – databases on bridges, methods and devices for data acquisition. Defining the bridge conditions with the emphasis on damages and their development; forecast models for predicting the condition changes. Maintenance works and their effects, alternative maintenance strategies.
