Acquiring of basic knowledge about the dynamic models of the power system components: synchronous and induction machines, transformers, excitation systems, turbines and governing systems. Basic analytical and numerical methods for the analysis of the power systems dynamics. The use of the modern software tools for solving the practical problems in this field.

Introduction to the power system stability problem. Basic models of power system components: synchronous machines (basic model of synchronous machine, dq0 transformation, simplified models of synchronous machine, linearized model of synchronous machines), induction machines (basic model of induction machine, dq0 transformation and simplified model of induction machine), transformers, excitation systems, turbines and governing systems. Complete models of power systems and the analysis of the power system dynamics.
