About Environmental Engineering and Safety at work

The studies at the Department for Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad are divided into three degrees.  In addition, there are specialization studies, lasting one year (two semesters), worth 60 ECTS, including specialization thesis which is worth 12 ECTS.

First cycle studies - Undergraduate academic studies last 4 years (eight semesters) with possibility of  obtaining 240 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System),  including the final paper which is equivalent to 15 ECTS.
After the first year, students may choose between two study programmes:

   Environmental Engineering
   Safety at Work
   Risk Management of Catastrophic Events and Fire



Second cycle studies - Master Academic Studies, are the continuation of undergraduate studies, depending on the study programme last for 1 year (at least 60 ECTS credits), 1.5 years (90 ??TS credits) or 2 years (120 ECTS credits), being the continuation of the undergraduate academic studies. Master studies are awarded 60 ECTS, including master  thesis which is awarded 15 ECTS. After the completion of the second degree studies, student is awarded the maximum of 300 ECTS.

Third cycle studies - Doctoral Studies last three years (six semesters). Doctoral studies are awarded 180 ECTS, and after the completion, a  student obtains a total of 480 ECTS.
