To enable students to understand the basics of modern computer systems and technologies and their applications in engineering, as well as acquiring basic knowledge and skills necessary for these purposes. Students should master methods and techniques of working with information technology tools and learn to use some of the standard application solutions with frequency use in engineering practice. Necessary technological elements will be emphasized to the extent necessary for the business use of computer systems. Students acquire practical knowledge in the application of number conversions, implementation of assembler commands as symbolic machine commands, practical knowledge using text processing software, table programs, multimedia presentation applications, and the use of the Internet.
By mastering the planned curriculum, students acquire the competencies that are reflected in the basic knowledge and understanding of basic elements related to the application of modern computer systems. By getting acquainted with modern software tools, students will be able to use them to expand their knowledge from other areas studied within the study program. By applying these tools, they will be able to solve specific problems from specific areas, on the one hand, and on the other hand, in a modern and efficient way, obtain information on the latest knowledge from the relevant field.
