Becoming familiar with the methods of signal detection and estimation.
Understanding the methods of signal detection and estimation in a noisy environment.
Hypothesis testing; Familiar signal detection in the white Gauss noise; Sinusoid signal detection with random paremeters (the phase, amplitude, frequency, reception time) in the white Gauss noise based on a single channel observation; Multichannel observations: Signal detection in the colored Gaussian noise; Signal paremeter estimation; PLL as an estimator of the phase and frequency; Estimation of parameters by reducting the sequencing signal generatro to an automatic device with a finite number of states.
