Igor Mujan was born on May 25, 1987 in Novi Sad. He finished the elementary school " Đorđe Natošević" in Novi Sad in 2002, and the high school "Gymnasium Isidora Sekulić" in Novi Sad in 2006. In the same year, he enrolled in the bachelor's academic studies on the Department for Energy and Process Engineering at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, Serbia. He completed a three-year program in October 2009, and obtained his master's degree in September 2011. In September 2021, he obtained the title of PhD - Mechanical Engineering. He has been employed at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering - Thermal Engineering Chair, Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad since 2012.
He has held classes in a number of subjects in undergraduate and master's academic studies. Igor is the author and co-author of seven papers published in international journals on the SCI list with the categories M21a and M22. He is the author and co-author of 11 papers of international importance in the M33 and M34 categories. The current competence index is 76. As a researcher in the field of thermal engineering, he participated in the cooperative project of the Ministry of Science, Education and Technological Development and the Faculty of Technical Sciences "Energy Systems in Public Buildings" TR33058. Igor has had a rich cooperation with the industry in recent years.
As a part of the expert teams, he has worked on multiple strategies and studies in regards to district heating systems as well as energy audits in public sector. Since 2018. he has been an expert witness in multiple court cases regarding energy and process systems and is the technical evaluator for Serbia’s IPARD fund.
